  18. If the ball lands on any of the bordering lines of the volleyball court, the ruling would be in . If no part of the ball is touching those bordering lines and is outside the court, it is considered out.

  19. If the ball hits any part of the line, in any level of volleyball, the ball is in.

According to rule 8.3 in the FIVB rulebook:

    "BALL “IN”

The ball is “in” when it touches the floor of the playing court including the boundary lines."

    Rule 8.4 states:

    "BALL “OUT”

    The ball is “out” when:

8.4.1  - the part of the ball which contacts the floor is completely outside the boundary lines

8.4.3 - it touches the antennae, ropes, posts or the net itself outside the side bands"

Net antennae may often be placed incorrectly and put "on" the line instead of on the "outside edge" of the line. If the antennae are placed correctly, then the ball is out when it contacts the outside edge of the court's crossing space, signifying an out of bounds ball.

    Rule 2.4 states:

    "ANTENNAE

An antenna is a flexible rod, 1.80 m long and 10 mm in diameter, made of fiberglass or similar material.

An antenna is fastened at the outer edge of each side band.

The antennae are placed on opposite sides of the net.

The top 80 cm of each antenna extends above the net and is marked with 10 cm stripes of contrasting color, preferably red and white.

The antennae are considered as part of the net and laterally delimit the crossing space."

  20. if the ball is seen touching any part of the lines of the court...ITS IN....there for if the ball makes no contact to the court OR the lines showing the court..its OUT... :)
