No, Cockatiels are good parents. Even in time when you can hold the babies they won't get upset. I wouldn't put my hand in the box if Mama is in there. If they are both out then it is fine. I don't know if you have a nest box, where the top lifts up, I used to just put some paper towel in the hole while I looked at the eggs, so keep them from coming in..  Then when I was done just took the paper towel out and everything was fine.
