If the cookout starts at 2pm-9pm what time would u get there??

Im in new york now, Its 1:13om here. The cookout starts at 2pm and ends at 9pm. I live literally 10 min from the park, but since Its my first time going to the park..Im going all alone and I have to find the cookout and everything... So What time should I leave..what time would u leave??

  1. Seems like all of us are thinking alike... I'd show up between 4 and 4:30. (Plenty of daylight left so you can enjoy and get back in time not to get lost). Besides, you get to eat at dinner time.


  2. I always go early and help the host set up that way I can leave about 4-5pm and let the party types have the last 4 hours.  The later people seem to go to cookouts the more they drink I don't drink so the fun ends between 4-5pm.

    *leave at 1:30pm that way you can get a parking spot too.

  3. I'm one of the "drinker-party" types so I would want to get there fashionably late (say 4:30 - 5ish)

    I would leave when it started winding down. I don't want to be the last one holding up people. I'm sure an after party would have been arranged at that point. No one I know wants a good party to end.
