  1. Some how, For some reason I just don't think your telling the whole story. If they are holding just your phone and gave the rest of your belongings back! there's a reason for it!!!!

  2. They have to voucher  the property that was confiscated from you. P.S, I hope you learned a lesson and give up the graffiti gig.

  3. No..

  4. Usually, when you are released from the lock-up your property is given back to you.  I can't see why your phone would be held from you unless it was not your phone.  Does the phone really belong to you?  I'm not trying to accuse to of theft.  I'm simply saying if you purchased the phone from someone who would be considered less that reputable, it is possible that the phone is "hot".  Keep inquiring about the phone and remain diplomatic.  I'm sure everything will work out for you.

  5. If you have a fine levied against you or have to pay reparations for anything at all, they can legally hold your property until it's paid.

  6. Unless the phone is connected to the charges against you, they must return it.

Often the police will s***w with people, such as taking them in on a charge they know will be dismissed.

You can track down the phone by contacting the detective working the case. If it is in the property room ask him to release it, if he will not then speak to the A.D.A.

  7. If they have kept your phone my guess would be you took pictures of your "artwork".  They will keep it as evidence of your crime in that case.

  8. You didn't tell us why they wanted your phone?  do you have numbers in your "memory" that could incriminate you?

Do they think you are using it for maybe

    a narcotics business?

I don't think you are telling us all of your

    story.
