because it just happened in my brothers room. the wire that comes from behind the electrical socket randomly caught fire

  1. the fire department has ways to prove who`s fault it is. Or if it was an accident. if some one is to blame there is room for a law suit!


  2. Was anything damaged or was anyone hurt? or do you wan't to sue for "emotional distress"? if someone was hurt or something was damaged, then maybe. Otherwise, get over it!

  3. If the wiring is aluminum and the outlet is improper (only for copper), then yes probably.   If it is aluminum wiring, then I would turn off the power and open every outlet and check that the outlets are AL/CU and that the connections are tight.

  4. Why would you even want to sue? To be greedy and have more money?

    Get a life!
