It seems to me that there are significantly more butterflies than there are storms.

  1. The Butterfly Effect is a philosophical conundrum not a scientific theory.


  2. That term is just a hypothetical analogy created to illustrate the principle behind Chaos Theory (i.e. the fact that small causes, over time, can result in large effects in complex systems). It was never meant to be taken literally.
