If the gas burner had gotten wet is the heater still useable?

Gas burner for what? Is this a water heater or something? Give us a little more to go on here. I would say that pretty much any heating appliance with a cast iron or stainless steel burner will still function properly if the burner gets wet, but unless you clarify this a bit, I'm not guaranteeing anything.

HVAC Tech.:  If you refer to a water heater burner  I think you might consider a replacement unit. If you refer to any other type of heating device, it most likely be fine for reuse  . you might want to blow it out with compressed air. Good luck!!
