  1. When ever gasoline actually reaches $5.00/gal (and it probably will not be this year), I'll probably keep right on buying it.  It will still be less expensive than it is in many other countries and certainly less expensive than any other alternative.

  2. There is not enough space or food to sustain a horse for everyone if we use them in place of cars.  The first step in all this is to lower our consumption, and, oh my goodness, walk more!  NO WAY!

  3. Gas is $8.00 a gallon in the UK and has been for quite a while, and it doesn't seem to be making much of a dent in the number of cars on the road and they have very good public transportation.

Most of America has no public transportation, so what are we going to do but complain?

And as for horses, if you had to ride, feed, board and take care of a horse for any length of time you would be willing to pay $20 a gallon for gas.

  4. I reduced my costs for gas by installing a hydrogen convertor that costs me $67. and one weekend. I went from 23 to 47MPG in a '94 Dodge Dakota V6! Here is where I found my answer to the rising gas prices

There is another site that offers similiar product but cost more

  5. 1) not enough horses to fill the gap

2)my neighbour has a hard enough time with his dog I can't imagine him with a horse

3)and were would you keep your horse the garage if you have on

4)and what about pasture the urban neighbourhood with its 10x10 yard not near enough room to keep a horse

    5)It's a nice romantic thought

  6. riding a horse is fun, but the cost of keeping a horse is still greater than the cost of keeping a car. nice thought though.

  7. I will burn waste oil in my non computer diesel

  8. What you should be considering is, if fuel farmers must use to feed us goes that high, will they cut back on production?

We sill not be paying just for the bit of fuel we use in our cars, but fuel used in every aspect of economic life.

More significantly, getting government to take taxes off fuel will accomplish nothing. Demand will rise until shortage drives prices up just as high without tax, and then we will have to raise that tax some other way.
