To keep us paying at or near the same so they can make even more money? And use some lame excuse such as someone shot at someone in the gulf, there might be a hurricane soon, a toilet is stopped up at one of our refineries?

  1. I believe they will either raise them or just keep them the same even though they should be lower.  We are gonna get caught having to pay into that tax one way or the other.

  2. No - why would they ???

  3. Suspending the gas tax will give little releif but it will hurt out infrastructure. It sounds like a good idea but its not the right good idea.

  4. Suspend tax? How are they going to pay for that war? No way.

  5. I don't think so because the gas companies weren't recieving the tax money so with or without the tax, they still make what they make.

Plus, the law regulates aproximately how much the gas companies are allowed to charge for gas region by region.

  6. Not if the government threatened to impose a windfall tax
