If the group owner died, is it possible a group will be closed after period of time? 3 Moderators are active.?

As far as I know they don't close it but you cannot transfer the ownership to a moderator. The owner had to do that. I f you want to take over the group the best advise is to close the old one and create a new group: transfer all the members / files etc to the new one.

Yahoo does not close groups unless there is a TOS violation- and have been known to delete groups once someone makes it known the owner is gone- this has been reported by memebrs of Yahoo so don't go e-mailing them anything. yahoo NEVER transfers ownership. they never have yet.

you should consider creating a new group, announcing this to members and get them all over to the new group which would then have an active owner- transfer all files, links and photo's to new group

Only owner knows the passwprd of his id.

So if owner dies no one other has a proof that he

is  alive or not.

So group will also not be deleted.

I would notify Yahoo! that the group owner has died, and transfer ownership of the group to another individual.

You might be required to offer some evidence of the passing of the group's owner, but they should be able to do that for an active group.
