Question:

If the growing "coldness" between Russia and America continues, do you fear another world war?

Russia is irate over the missile defense systems America is installing in countries along its periphery. Soon, Russia will issue an official proclamation to NATO demanding a timetable for the missile systems removal, with substantial threats of preemptive retaliation if the offending installations are not decommissioned.

Is Russia merely posturing . . . or . . . are they laying the groundwork for something far more sinister? What's really driving the Georgian conflict???

  1. Russia doesn't make a pimple on the a** of the Soviet Union.  They are much smaller and weaker.  Whats to be afraid of?  We beat them down when they belonged to the Soviet Union.

  2. No.

    Don't think so.

With Christmas Carol and tale of two cities become one.

    Games over.

    "United we stand" in time.

    "The caravan of love"

    "Love is in the air"

    Two birds one stone?

    Luke 9.25,55-56,60

    What do you think?

  3. The Cold War isn't over (even though they say so) ... so how can you expect them to have another war?

  4. I think relations will chill, but i doubt if there would actually be a war.

I can see Russia turning off the gas to Europe this winter in retaliation, though.

  5. idc, im in england

  6. I don't fear Russia; I can't control Russia.  I can vote for well-intentioned and capable candidates for office.  Here is a link, with more links, related to your question.  They provide some crucial reasons why, as an Independent, I am not voting for the Democratic ticket.

  7. Russia can't afford to launch any preemptive attack unless they want suicide.

  8. The South Ossetia (part within the Georgian borders) has it´s autonomy since 1922 and it strives for it´s independence from Georgia, which in 1992 was officially proclaimed, but not yet internationally recognized. The population there is 98% Russian with the Russian citizenship.

Georgian forces started the military assault beginning of August to take control over Chinvali, the capital city and other cities in South Ossetia (against separatist and peacekeepers).

Russia responded by bombing Georgian military basis and bringing troupes and tanks into South Ossetia. Russia took control over Chinvali at the same time recognizing Ossetia´s Independence, but the NATO alliance asks Russia to withdraw from South Ossetia defending Georgia´s interests to become a NATO member.

So, judge on your own who is threatening with the new war. Bush and Cheney or Putin/Medviedev.
