If the maintenance man came to my house yesterday to get rid of the mold on my wall, is it advisory...?

For me to clean off the doorknobs? I suffer OCD, & I'm afraid I might catch a disease if I don't clean them off. Is it possible that if I didn't clean them, I'd be ok, or is it compulsory? I'm very worried.

I would do it just to be safe ,I'm pretty germ weird myself.

Taking care of yourself is your number one priority.  But doing it without asking others is something you are going to have to learn to do.  You already know you suffer from OCD so you should have IMMEDIATELY and thoroughly cleaned the doorknobs and possibly anything else he touched.  It is not compulsory, it makes you feel better and you do not know exactly what type of chemicals he was cleaning with.  You have to learn to take care of you.  No one will ever take care of you but you.  You have to learn to love you.

Chances are you will not have any problems if you do not clean off the door k**b.  However, since you took the time to ask, I would say that it bothers you so you can do it to feel easier about it and get on with your life.  

Cleaning is always a safe thing to do regardless of your condition.
