  1. they would have full jail cells

  2. Demonstrators have rights. They want a country free from crime but unfortunately the mexican police are more concerned about the demonstrators rather than those who chop peoples heads off. I heard about the 2 sisters whos heads were found. Thats really quite disgusting

  3. Mexican police? What a joke lol.

  4. I am very fearful for the safety of the demonstrators. Mexican police are ruthless when set to a task by their political masters. they need to ensure the current system stays in place because their salaries are supplemented by corruption.

Any change to the government would seriously endanger this corruption based supplemental income. The wages of Mexican police and other officials is pathetic. They would starve if forced to subsist upon it alone.

I predict they will be swift with retribution for the civil disobedience. This will deter future uprisings of the same sort.

So no, my sweet. I am afraid that the Mexican people do not have the right to protest. Just the courage to go ahead and try anyway.

  5.      Begin with Mexico's basic politics.

It is  government of european spanish heritage, by european spanish heritage and for european spanish spanish heritage.

The sole native mexican leader of consequence the last 100 years was Pancho Villa. The U.S. took care of him through General "Black Jack" Pershing.

Government leaders in Mexico have all the honesty of any third world order. They enjoy the basic freedom to aline themselves with any drug cartel, national or international at any mutually agreeable pay-off.

The right to demonstrate has to be measured against the corresponding possibility of being beaten, abused or murdered. Then again you might only disappear at night. A Mexican state governor recently sought and obtained U.S. political asylum through his fear of the drug cartels violence at his legitimate attempts to reduce drug smuggling.
