  1. Probably not.

Why would he? If you can make twice as much to fight De La Hoya, that is the obvious route to go. Doesn't matter what hardcore fans think. There are enough sheep that will pay to see the De La Hoya rematch.

  2. yes

  3. Indeed if the money was right floyd would fight cotto. But you and me both know that the money would be funny because mayweahther is a promoter and he want let bob arum s***w him behind the money to be made off of this fight.

  4. I think if the possibility of the fight gets big enough golden boy will step in and make the money right. Miquel Cottos got a fight coming up soon if he wins that with a knockout then maybe beats carlos quintana again i think floyd mayweather will have to fight cotto. But, thats if floyd beats de la hoya and even if he does that means there wont be a fight until about december or january next year.

  5. Floyd is at the stage of his career, where all he wants are the big money fights.  He does not care about capturing any more titles because he already has enough.  I think if the demand for the Cotto fight gets big enough, and Floyd and Bob Arum (Cotto's promoter) are civil toward each other, then I think the money will be too much for Floyd to turn down.  The thing is, it has to be an amount that is big enough to make him accept the fight, and at this stage, Mayweather is obviously going to demand a lot to fight a dangerous fighter like Cotto.

  6. Yea, who wouldnt! He doesnt need to fight for championships! i dont even think he cares about that stuff! i think all he cares now is MONEY! how the h**l would a #1 pound for pound boxer retire from boxing and FIGHT THE BIG SHOW!!! i mean whats up with that! i dont think he pours his heart and passion for boxing!  think hes just singin "DOLLA DOLLA BILLS YO!"

  7. I'm not so sure. Cotto is gaining in popularity but he will do well to prepare himself against another slick boxer before facing Floyd because Money will box circles around Miguel.  Cotto can and should make decent money after the fight but he should maximize his earnings now while he is undefeated.  After he fights Floyd he will definitely have a loss on his record.

  8. Cotto is already a very well known boxer.......I think he's sold out the Garden in New York around 4 times now............I honestly think that the money for a Cotto/Mayweather fight right now has got to be pretty darn good........that's the fight that all fight fans are looking forward to in the Welterweight division........given the fact that I think the money is pretty good right now............I don't think he'd take the fight right now........I think Floyd would prefer to wait to see if the winner of Margarito/Cintron will beat Cotto or not.    I personally think they are going to line up some huge event in NY........maybe Yankee Stadium on the eve of the Puerto Rican Day Parade in NY next year.............Cotto has fought in NY every year on this night for a few years now...........this would give time for Cotto to face Gomez and then the winner of the Margarito/Cintron match.

  9. i seriously doubt it. the fight is too risky for him to put his perfect record at stake. yes, cotto has a perfect record too, but he would fight anybody without question. that's the definition of a REAL warrior.

  10. yes. a big payday is what floyd is looking for.
