And if there is not one complete and absolute truth, does it not also stand to reason that all personal morality is worthless?

  1. "Absolute Truth" is a very ill defined term - it is essentially meaningless.  Morality stems from us being social animals and it is a trait that we share with social animals.

Since there is nothing to significantly separate all of the other mythological gods from God, doesn't that make God mythological?

  2. The Universe is the ultimate truth / reality. Gods are typically metaphors or caricatures.  Having been conceived in superstition and a cultural vacuum,  they've come represent ancient mans greatest achievement as enduring monuments to ignorance, they are a legacy we continue to pass on to our children.

  3. I don't get the connection between personal morality and truth and fairy story's.

  4. Yes.   But God isn't mythological so other gods aren't mythological as well.

No.  personal morality isn't worthless even if there isn't one complete and absolute truth.  But there is one complete and absolute truth e.

  5. Yes all gods are therefore mythological.

But no, personal morality might be subjective but certainly not worthless.

Plato spend a lot of time with that one.
