  1. 4s = 24 + 1/6 (4s)

    24s = 144 + 4s

    20s = 144

    s = 144/20

    area = s^2=51.84


  2. perimeter of a square =4s

    Given, 4s=24+ 1/6[4s]

            

             24s=144 +4s

        

             20s=144

          

                 s=7.2

    area of the square =s2

                               =51.84
