  1. unless he committed a bad crime, or did something extremely offensive, then yes. If I hated them and they were a bench player, I wouldn't boo them, just don't cheer for them.

    Darren Oliver makes me mad

  2. It happened to me in hockey when Mark Messier was traded to the Canucks. I still cheered for the Canucks but didn't cheer for Messier. So, I expect I would do the same in baseball.

  3. No way!

I can't just forget how much I hate him because he's now on my favorite team!

In fact, I'd hate him all the more for being a clubhouse cancer to MY team!!!

Those are generally the only guys I really hate; you know, guys that aren't team players, don't respect other players or fans, doesn't conduct himself properly to the media...

Guys like, you know, A-Rod, Manny, or some other prima donna.

Oh, and I don't believe I'd like someone like Barry Bonds playing on my team (Oh no, I didn't use juice.  Never mind that you have proof and witnesses... I never used them.) or Roger Clemens (I didn't even notice my trainer sticking a needle up my butt... How would I even notice such a thing???).

I'd definitely NOT cheer for them.  In fact, I'd probably boo and heckle them. =)

  4. i don't want Barry Bonds on my team!!!!!

okay, i don't hate him.. i'm not much of a hateful person.. but i extremely dislike..

siigh.. hard question. i would.. be indifferent to him but i would cheer for my team :)

  5. I didn't cheer Steve Howe or Armando Benitez when both where with the Yankees.

  6. Then I would love him if he was good.

  7. I would cheer cause he's a great player!

    HAMILTON.

  8. I would definitely hate Barry Bonds if he was signed by my team.

  10. i wouldent if i hated that player i would never cheer for them

    EVER :D

  11. I think a perfect example of this was when the Caveman Johnny Damon went to the Yankees. They hated him when he was with the Sox when the played New York, but now that he's wearing the pinstripes, he get much love. But the Red Sox nation HAS to hate him now becuase it's not like he went to the Tigers or the Marlins...he went to the darkest of dark sides!

  12. Well yeah, I always cheer for my FAVORITE TEAM and not a certain player.

  13. Yes Except one person and one only

    Barry Bonds

  14. Well, I really hated it when Armando Benitez became a Yankee. I didn't cheer for him so much as I hoped he didn't mess things up for the team. Thankfully, his tenure in pinstripes was short. May he never return to the Bronx unless it's to get beat down by Graeme Lloyd again.

I had mixed feelings about Johnny Damon, but he's OK now. (But I didn't really hate Damon. I hated the "Idiot" Red Sox image he projected and the fact that he was part of the 0-3 comeback, but I didn't mind him as a player despite his old uniform.)

And I'm not sure how I'd act if Kevin Youkilis were to ever become a Yankee. I'd be uptight about it at first. But I'd kinda sorta root for him so long as he helped the Yankees win.

  15. you always should cheer for your team before players, so OF COURSE if a player came to my team i being a huge fan of my team would cheer for him

  16.   i for the team i want the to win

and go on the jerk  just have to put up with him

  17. It pretty much happened to Cubs fans this year. for years Edmounds was a Cardinal & Cubs killer. Now he is roaming center field for our Cubbies. As well as he has played, I have had a hard time letting it go / buying into Jim Edmounds the Cub

  18. In this case, Man Ram. Yeah maybe If he hits a couple of bombs for us :)

  19. id probabaly hate him cuz he was contriubutin to the rival team but if he were a part of my team ya i'd cheer fro him

  20. Well if that was the case -

    Manny - Yankees ?

    I'll hate him still

  21. ya sure

  22. Yes. They're a part of the team. Even if they are my least favorite player, as long as they're doing well, then I will definitely cheer them on. It may take me a while to get use to the fact they're on the team, but I would still cheer, maybe not as loud as I would for other players, but they're a a part of the team.

  23. The player I hate the most DID play for my team for 15 years. Barry Bonds. I can't tell you how hard it was for the last 8 years pulling for him to do bad while still pulling for the team to win. It was h**l and I do not recommend it to anyone.

  24. no.  but I wouldn't boo either.

  25. depends if he helps your team i guess i would cheer for him but if hes just an addtion i would boo him for life!!!

  26. As Jerry Sienfeld once said, "We root for the laundry".  When Deion "Prime Time" Sanders was  playing for the Falcons, I absolutely detested him.  But when he came to the 49ers, I cheered for him.  If Barry Bonds somehow hypnotized Theo Epstein and the Sox signed him, I wouldn't like it, but I would cheer for him.  Team First!

  27. it depends who he was traded for. if barry bonds replaced alfonso soriano i would have booed barry bonds

  28. Depends. If the team owner got the player because he thinks its best for the team and the player really wants to be in Boston, then I'd cheer for him.

If the player was a total jacka** who talked a lot of c**p about the Red Sox but changed, then I'd cheer for him. If he's still the same a**hole he was when he was on team X, then I wouldn't give a rat's a** about him.

  29. Id be thrilled to have Ryan Howard on the Braves. We need a real first baseman.

  30. yea i would cheer for anyone traded to my favorite team just have to suck it up for the team...
