The point of Christian faith,  hope,  charity(never fails) is for people to BE (WHOLE & UNITED) in "Worship" of God !

It means basically, that Jesus restores the soul to the state of wellness, wholeness. People's souls become sick because of sin, both their own and those of others that affect them. Jesus restores and heals our soul.

Charity is better translated into Love its from the greek word "agapē" and it means:1) affection, good will, love, benevolence, brotherly love

In this chapter Paul is covering the Gifts of the Spirit and how they "Work" in us.....we may prophecy....or we make Speak in tongues as the Holy Spirit blasts us......so he is makeing a contrast as to say...well you may think your the stuff....but Love is greater...HAVE THAT and the others will mean something !
