  1. the only answer is the BNP....they would sort this country out!

  2. Ihate to say this! But!As times get harder and money gets 'tighter'!You will see which side the police and judiciary are on??And it will not be on the side of the working man! Then you will see the full power of the Freemason come into play!!Politicians,Police and Judiciary! They are all in it!!

  3. No - they aren't fair.  There are good reasons why a high fuel price isn't all bad.  No, bear with me.

Our oil supplies are finite.  At some point they will run out.  That point thankfully is some way off and probably much further off than we are led to believe - if we do not waste it.

The trouble is that we do waste it and on a prodigious scale especially in countries like the USA that really can make collossal savings in the amount that they use.  SUVs that get 9 miles to the gallon can be replaced with much more efficient engines.

However whilst I recognise that a drive toward efficiency (which in the UK is dressed up as a green measure - in CO2) is necessary to wring the maximum utility from the oil - there is also a point where the cost to the mobility of the workforce is too high and is unnecessarily impeding economic progress whilst the world around us is merrily burning more and more.

The fuel escalator has prepared us better to live with high oil prices.  It has also given the means to release that pressure should it become too high in parts of the economy.  The hauliers being a case in point.  The taxation part of fuel prices is something the government does have control over - even at $140 a barrel the taxation part of the equation in the UK is 50% of the price at the pump.

You would think that they would use that power to ensure that the wheels of the economy keep on turning.

  4. no they are ripping us off

    what do you mean becoming

    cuckoo cuckoo

    yes they are

but they are all as bad as each other

  5. I agree with you about the politicians, but gasoline prices have nothing to do with justice.  As to "fuel prices" being fair, I remember when ethyl was 29.9 cents a gallon. At that time, milk was 10 cents a quart DELIVERED TO YOUR DOOR; movies 9 cents; popcorn, cokes, candy bars a nickel. When I was a freshman in college, a woman could go to the doctor for prenatal and postnatal care, 5-day stay in the hospital when she delivered, medicine, everything for $50.

In other words, compared to medical care, food prices, cost of going to college, etc., gasoline was, and still is, a real bargain.
