I hear so much about global warming. My grandmother says that all of her ice comes from the north pole. I have a refridgerator that makes ice. But, I asume that most major users of ice and people like my grandmother that buy their ice from the stores depend on the polor ice caps.

  1. So that's why the ice cap is shrinking!

Maybe man is harvesting too much ice.

  2. Hail storms.  We put on a helmet and run around with a bucket collecting the hail stones.

  3. Your grandmother is foolin you. The bags of ice sold in stores are made in big freezers and not collected from the north pole.

  4. Nothing to worry about.

The melting ice caps are opening up the arctic to more oil exploration, and some of that oil can be burned as fuel to make electricity for granma to power a freezer.

  5. If the ice caps melt it will not disappear so fast but it is decreasing the cycle of glaciers and the temperature will not be balanced and we will not survive. But we can make ice from refrigerator but only small quantities.

  6. Sally. That's the funniest thing I've read all day.

    Really.

  7. Ice you buy in the store is probably made no more than 100 miles from your house.

  8. Global Warming has been going on since the ice age. Remember glaciers use to cover half the United States. Now, here's the BS: Socialists, Marxist, and Communists started this whole concept that it was man-made by that evil empire, the USA. While leading the world in production, energy usage and having the highest standard of living, it's easy to blame capitalism for global warming. Unfortunately too many Meat-Heads have bought into this idea. Global Warming is a natural phenomenon beyond our control and is created by an imperfect wobbling of the earth and circumnavigation of the sun. It's easy for someone to buy into this man-made warming theory and appear as though they are the enlightened ones. Maybe they can explain why half the USA was once covered with ice and the glaciers began to retreat and melt many thousands of years before the combustible engine. Or, why the south pole use to be warm and tropical. The argument isn't whether global warming is occuring, but rather what's causing it. Don't let those so-called enlightened one's talk you into turning your life over to them in the name of saving the planet! The rotations & wobbling of planets, the varying temperature of the sun, and the weather is beyond our control. Oh yeah, follow the money and notice who those thirsting for power are and you'll easily see who the alarmists (anticapitalists) are...

  9. Ice making is a Business it is not coming from the Polar if we reduce the temperature below freezing point the ice will be created. Its funny to say that if the ice goes down in the polar no ice for Us. There are 2 situation in this world the Cold area like the poles are getting heated due to global warming wheras the Hot areas near equator are getting colder due to global cooling.

  10. I am afraid it is a family myth.  Ice comes from refrigeration plants, nice thought though.

  11. see gb means that the earth is getting hotter and soo the ice-caps are melting and just foryour knowledge u do not get ice from the ice-caps but from the refigirator as any water if it meets low temperature it becomes solid so as the refigirator is really cold that's why it becomes ice.

no one gets ice from ice-cape are u kid or something

  12. The polar ice is breaking into icebergs, which are carrying that ice closer to us.

By the way, what's that brush for on your tin-foil hat?

  13. The polar ice caps are expanding. But thanks to modern technology, ice wouldn't be a problem even if Al Gore were truthful. You know instead of a pathological liar and imbecile like he is.

  14. Hon, she is telling you a tall tale, but there are actually a couple of $high profile$ "Drinking Water" companies who claim there water is taken from melting chunks of ice bergs that originated in the polar region.  I won't name names here, but one is a Japanese company.  Polar ice has gases and other things  trapped in it from thousands of years ago, so take their advertising with a grain of "salt".

  15. Consider taking the ice pack off of your Grandmother's head.I think the swelling has gone down and it might now be some what detrimental to her recovery.

Replace it with  the helmet your wearing.

Even if it doesn't help her think strait, she'll be styling.
