Like, house phones. I think they're called land lines... I'm assuming that cell phones would still work.

I was just wondering.. Thanks!

  1. Fortunately, if your power is out, your landline wired phone will still work. Cordless ones I have not had so much luck with.

  2. Yes, any phone with a phone cord that runs on electricity will go out.  However, that means cell phones will still work.

  3. Cordless phones go out. Phones with cords don't.

  4. if your phone uses batteries no, it would still work

  5. 2 tomato cans and string never go out, LOL just kidding. A lot of Cordless phones havea  battery backup in the base unit that comes in handy.

  6. If you have a "landline" phone, it will not go out if the power goes out, as long as it is not a wireless phone, with the base plugged in to the power.  If it is a standard phone, it may not go out when the power goes out.

  7. Your cell phone and landline number would still be working unless it is a cordless. In case of emergency always have access to a phone that plugs in the wall. ALWAYS BE PREPARED!!
