  1. Seems sensible to me, who wouldn't try and find funds from another source other than your own pocket.

    best of luck to you!

  2. It depends on which house it is, most of them belong to the state not her personally.

If it's Sandringham or Balmoral they belong to her personally, the rest are owned by the state.

EDIT: The pyramids weren't residences they were tombs. Windsor Castle and Buckingham Palace wouldn't be half as popular if they weren't actually real residences.

  3. Because HM doesn't want to.

Stop attacking the British Royal Family.

  4. cause their not hers, they belong to the state.

she does get money for household repairs ect called an allowance. Parliament agreed to this  very so many years and this comes from the civil list, but only for state homes not her personal property.

Don't worry she's not strapped for money.

  5. Why don't all her non-working relatives get together and repair the roof. That might give them something useful to do, for a change.

  6. Why doesn't she get that lazy b@stard husband of hers to do it!! Or her grand kids!!

  7. She likes her paintings.

  8. Well,if it is for a state owned residence then the state should pay for it but,if it is a private one then she should pay.I wouldn't mind chipping in.How much would a lemur pelt be worth?

  9. Queen....? THERE is a concept....useful as a screen door on a glass bottom bathysphere....almost.  What is queenie fixing anyway ? ....the solid gold heated crapper seat or what ? sheesh....get a life.....

  10. Any painting the queen owns was most likely a gift either to her or her ancestors. It would be the equivalent of any ordinary person selling his or her X-mas gifts in a yard sale. I don't believe they would ever be sold unless it were for charity.

Another important thing to remember is that the tourism business in England is largely dependent on the royal family. Three million sounds like a great deal of money, until you consider that it is an investment.

  11. well the queen gets 75 million off the tax payer anyway what she been spending that on....... drugs s*x n rock n roll no doubt

  12. Because they don't belong to her. Either does any of her jewerly, furniture or homes. They are the property of the State and Commonwealth of the British Empire.

  13. I believe that she is an asset to the UK.  I don't believe she takes a salary or a wage for what she does.  People complain about how much she costs, but actually it is pennies compared to the amount spent on propping up undeserving people on the dole.  If something in one of the state-owned residences needs to be repaired, then the state should repair it.  I do believe she spends her own funds on private repairs.  Let her get on with the job at hand.
