If the rich Venezuleans hate Chavez then why do most of the Venezulean MLB players love the guy?

Chicago White Soxs manager Ozzie Guillen said he loves the guy refering to Hugo Chavez. Johan Santana had dinner with him and talks to him sometimes. Why is that all rich people hate him expect for the rich MLB players.

No way, is just politics, they hate him too, but sports and politics shouldn´t be mixed

They do not earn income in Venezuela and do not have very much assets in Venezuela.  Since most only have a second home there, and Chavez has said he will confiscate second home if they are not rented out, I think they will change their tunes if Chavez confiscates their second homes.

by the way, if you say you don't love him, your family could be subjected to harassment by the poor neighbors that get paid to beat up Anti-Chavistas.  Rich people from rich families all hate Chavez and their family is immune to the poor neighborhood intimidation groups (ie Bolivarian circles)

i'm venezuelan and to tell you the truth it is possible that they anounce it for the safety of their families back in venezuela not because they truly love them, cuz if they did, they wouldn't have left the country

Most of the MLB players were born poor in Venezuela.
