You seem to be misconstruing the difference between Religious beliefs and the tenet principles of Judeo-Christian social law. We are a Country of laws. They come from the doctrines and priciples of such documents as the Magna Carta and , yes, the moral values of westernized Judeo-Christian beliefs.

Although, the Founding Fathers didn't consider Indian rights, they were the ones who insisted slavery be abolished.  We even had a big civil war over it.  (it's in history books if you want to check it out)
