If the show "The Hills" is authentic then how come...?

If MTV is claiming that "The Hills" is 100 % real then how come on the show there is no mention of Heidi's singing career or clothing line or Lauren's clothing line? Even last night when she was on a date with Doug he had the nerve to ask her what she's been up to for the past 4 years...hello does he not have a tv? And how does Spencer and Brody manage to have such nice cars and aparments? They don't really work ! Even Lo who is a student managed to supposedly help pay for the house her and lauren and audrina moved in to (which cost a couple of million dollars). I really think the jobs these girls have are fake. I don't think Heidi's job at bolthouse is legit or audrina's job at epic records. It's all a little too sketchy to me ! And why are there never any races other than Caucasian on that show? In lauren's class or at lauren's job or at Heidi's job or audrina's job or at any store they shop at or at any restuarant they go to there is never anyone who is not Caucasian. They only have white friends and at all their parties there are only white people. LA is very diverse so hmmm something is not making sense.

Audrina was ask to be on the show as heidi and lauren's best new friend.

the producer saw her and decided to get her on the show...hahahah most of it is totally fake.she probably gave him a ******* to get her in the show.........but who cares?? i watch it to entertain myself,since i have nothin better to do  on mondays and 10pm,......lol

i agree with you.

im sure some of it is scripted

and some of it is probably real.

its just a bit too perfect for it to be authentic.

the friend drama is probably real, but it has to be scripted a little bit.

everything is real..maybe they choose not to hang out wiht anyy boddy except caucasion people...

and umm btw...everything is always on the news..itsw just that the cameras are not always on them...only whne they have shpows to do...its really obvious why the boys have nice cars and apartments becuase there families are obviously rich..they just go into t.v business wiht their families..for exmaple...brody's last name is jenner...you the show..kardashions...well the father there is his father..soo there u have it..they are all richh asses..just like laurens parents and heidi's parents..and bordy's and lo's...you should have just watched behind the sence on the hills and u will noe everything i just said...!!!!!!! DUHHHHH!!!!

Most of the casts comes from wealthy famillies. Plus, they get paid to be on "The Hils. Audrina admitted to being casted to be Heidi's friend.

Heidi all of sudden can afford to leave her boss in Las Vegas to be with Spencer, and she still has her job.  

I've never seen Whitney in charge of any other intern except Lauren.

I agree totally.  It is fake, fake, fake.  First of all, I was once 21 years old and it is impossible to get the jobs that these girls have in LA.  I spent some time out there when I graduated college with a bachelors.  I had so many interviews and these jobs just don't exist for 19 year olds unless you know someone or are on MTV.  Seriously, who are they kidding.  Also, Spencer is the most annoying person who has ever been on TV.  But, I do think that because it is fake.  The writing makes him act that way and he may be cool with it because of the huge paycheck.  I watch the show but I really don't like it and I am probably too old to watch. (31)  The sad thing is that 19-21 year old think it is real and get upset when they realize that you have to earn these amazing jobs not just get them.  The race thing is crazy too.  I have never had friends of one race.  Yeah, why do we watch?  I have no clue.  I agree with everything you said

LOL I totally agree! I have always thought about those things. I kind of just chose not to watch it anymore. MTV lies :(
