If the strength of my eyes are -1.75 What is the Base Curve for contacts(Acuvue Oasys 8.40 or 8.80) ?

I have the Freshlook, Extreme H2O and O2 Optix but the base Curve is 8.60 on all these...So I was wondering which should I go for now that im going to try the Oasys if the 8.40 or the 8.80 What usually is the average? What is ur or do u kind of relate to me? Thank you sooooo Much!!!!!

  1. the base curve just depends on your eyes. it's a size thing - only your optometrist can tell you what size you need.  If it helps though, I have tried all sorts of contacts and never had a problem with the size. I have heard of people who feel their contacts are too tight and have a hard time getting them off though.


  2. The power of your lenses..( -1.75 )  really has nothing to do with determining the curvature needed.

    If you go about this the right way , you would have to be fitted with trial lenses of the Oasys at an optician or optometrist to be sure which curvature will be best for you.

    It isn't something that you can just guess at.
