  1. It depends what you mean by humans...

i'm sure that we would be the same except slightly smarter, and a slightly different physical appearance to make us more of a dominant species.

We change/alter constantly... even from one hundred years ago, we are slightly different, would you not call someone from the 1800's human because we are a little more advanced?

  2. Well I certainly believe in the theory of evolution and that doesn't dismiss a God either in my book but to get to the question.  Mmmmmmmmmmm   Well I am thinking yes there would still be imaginary humans.  All of those out there in the Bible Belt will of course still be human in their own eyes but we others really know that they are evolving too but they won't hear a word about that but we others will acknowledge that we have evolved to a species with bigger brains and consequently bigger heads (but the Christians out there won't believe that as they already have big heads!!!).  Anyway sorry, I digressed> Well the new Hubots have it all over the ones who don't think they have evolved further than the perfect Adam and Eve of their dreams so we others have really got it over them.  We have the best real estate, the best hover cars, the smartest children as we encourage them to question everything and believe nothing until it can be Scientifically proved and so on and so forth.  Anyway the ones who don't "believe" that they have been part of the evolutionary process well they will be just 'ol stick in the muds even if their brains have enlarged to the point where they get nagging doubts about how they might perceive themselves so what happens is that they sort of stagnate as the early early Neanderthals stagnated with the new types emerging who were  outsmarting them for happy hunting grounds and stuff and yes the same scenario starts to happen again over many many centuries and whadya know the fortunate hubots who feel the world is their oyster well they just go ahead in leaps and bounds and outwit the underachieving ones who still think they are replicas of Adam and Eve and become - Yes I am so sorry to admit to this and to contemplate it A MASTER RACE.

  3. Just because a new species develops, it doesn't mean that the old species dies out.

The fossil record shows for a fact that Neanderthals and modern humans coexisted for quite some time before the Neanderthal line finally died out.  There's no reason to say that it couldn't happen again with a different species.

  4. I'm assuming you're making a crack at the whole "if we evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys." I like the intention, but I don't know if your question was obvious enough.

  5. Likely, yes.  That is unless the new species is superior and chooses not to have us around.

This is what happened with Homo sapiens and Homo Neanderthalensis.  We decided not to keep the Neanderthals around and pretty much killed them off.

  6. Yes Humans will stay

Evolution is not working with us to the same extent as with animals, we interfere to much, We have with medical science stopped the weak from dying, so they stay alive and are able to breed and so perpetuate the problem. Evolution works by keeping the good changes, that is not happening with us

  7. we would eventually die out because the other species would be better than us and wouldn't die of the causes that humans do.

  8. I think that is what the new age people are saying about their Indigo children.  Most likely science will change the definition of human, one more time.  The ones being able to claim that definition will put the others in labs and cages.  Science will reevalute all information and new assumptions will be made.  The new humans will say that all who believe the the old science are non reasoning and will laugh at their beliefs.

  9. Some of the successes (if you can call it that) that homo sapiens has had as a species, is that we have developed the capability to control our environment and improve our ability to find food and breed.

Environment, food and ability to breed are the controlling factors in evolution, so we have, as far as humans are concerned, brought evolution to a halt.

The next phase might well be the evolution of machines which integrate human biology and micro-technology to produce what we now call androids, capable of reproduction and travelling to the stars.
