If the top five teams in scotland and the top five teams in England?

formed a 10 team league ,what would be the outcome.how many scottish teams would be in the top 5.

In a series of one off games I think Celtic might sneak into 5th, over a season (ie take 5 scottish into the EPL) and I think Celtic and Rangers would be happy with finishing in the top 10.

And I think two of the other 3 Scotts teams would be in relegation trouble if not relegated.

But that I think has a lot to do with the size of the clubs and the pruchasing power and prestige being in the EPL brings. After say 5 years I would possibly rate both Rangers and Celtic as having the potential to be up there as clubs such as Liverpool, Tottenham, Newcastle etc

bawzoot,SPL clubs would struggle to compete with champoinship clubs due to SKY TV sponshorship,on a level playing field with matching money and due to there fan base the old firm within a few years would probably make top 5 as for the premiership its a 20 team league which only 2 - 4 clubs have a realistic chance off winning it ,so its not that more competitive than the SPL
