If the ultrasound said I'm 22 weeks...and my fundle height says 22 Cm's..why...???

why are they still going off what the calander worked out to be 21 weeks? lol i know the baby will come when he is ready anyway and those dates really make no difference but losing that week ment alot to me lol...any of you pregnant ladies would probably understand...yesterday i thought i had 18 weeks to go..today ive got 19 weeks to go! i know it really makes no difference but in my mind it does....that whole extra week just makes it seem sooo much longer!!any thoughts on why they are sticking to that first date....it wasnt an ultrasound date just one worked out off a paper chart....my only ultrasound was at 19 weeks!

they go by measurements because if your baby is overdue, then they would be able to induce you at your fundle height

22cms equals 22 weeks hun. one cm per week is average growth. im not entirely sure what the problem is here as the fundal height seems to equal 22 weeks?????

Hun,i know exactly how you feel.My due date was also pushed up by one week although i know for sure when my LMP was.Also when i do the online due date calculator it is what is supposed to be one week before the doc.predicted due date.its a bit frustrating to be put back a week.I however go by my own due date according to my LMP.Thankfully i only have 4 weeks to go!

Depending on your doctor, it's not unusual for them not to change your due date when there is only a week's difference in dates.  I'm in the same predicament.  I just had my ultrasound last week and it put me at being exactly 1 week further along.  I'm not sure yet if they will change my dates or not, but I'm not overly concerned about it.  Try to relax and enjoy your pregnancy.  The 2nd half of it goes too quickly anyway!
