  1. My prediction for an upset is not this game but I wouldn't be surprised to see an upset between two more teams in these same two conferences.  One of Appalachian State's biggest rivalries plays #1 ranked Georgia I believe the same weekend.  What could be bigger than that?  Michigan was only ranked 5th when ASU came to town.  Georgia Southern has its' share of national championships too.  I believe within the next 5 to 10 years if Appalachian State continues their trend they will become a division 1 school and then be eligible for a ranking.

  2. No. They're not a D1 school.

  3. Appy St ain't playing Michigan.  They are playing the best college football team this decade.  LSU will let them hang around for a little while, but speed, talent, and size will prevail in the end and the Tigers will blow them out.

    I do think that Appy St could win the Big 10 though.

  4. top team of the decade? hahaha...gimme a break...i hate LSU and all its retarded"back buyou" redneck fans......LSU sucks...a big ole pile o' monkey nuts....you hear me?! monkey nuts!!!!

  5. LSU will win, because they won't be underestimating App. State, which is the only reason they beat Michigan in the first place (caught them completely off gaurd). And yeah, if they do beat LSU, which would surely become an even bigger controversy than the michigan defeat, then I think they deserve to be ranked top 25, regardless of district & conference complications (why not? they would deserve it...). But yeah, that won't happen in any case...

    ...and to LSUballs, the guy who never has any facts to back up anything he says, didn't Michigan also embarass Florida IN FLORIDA last year at the capitol one bowl? You know, the same Michigan that lost to App. State and was # 3 in the Big Ten, and the same Florida that was #3 in the SEC and had the heisman winner as their quarterback...

    ...yeah, that's what I thought...

  6. no, they are not a div-IA team and therefore are not eligible to be in the rankings for that division, however i would laugh just as hard as i did when they beat michigan

  7. UH I heard that D-I-AA teams were allowed to be ranked in the poll..forget which poll....don't remember where I heard that.

    Yes why not, they are a good team and have been for the past 3 years.

  8. Ever notice how arrogant, rude, and conceided LSU fans are on here?

    Yeah they won the national championship last year, but didn't they also lose 2 games? They aren't the best in the SEC this year, but should easily handle App State.

  9. Lets be serious.  Ohio St. has a better chance of beating an SEC team and we all know that's not happening

  10. Actually...The AP poll ammended the rule last year after the App st. Mich game which allows D2 teams to be ranked in top 25. App st. received some votes if you remember... Also just wanted to add that LSU sucks.

  11. no lsu will win this game by at least 4 touchdowns michigan just sucks but if it did happen yeah they should be.

  12. For not being able to spell or string together more than sentence fragments, LSU fans sure seem to act arrogant when they are not climbing on top of their sisters or their farm animals.  (see LSUBalls last seven Yahoo acounts.)

    LSU = Retards

  13. If the unthinkable happened and App. State toppled LSU App should be in the top 25 if they prove themselves by beating more than one team in the top 25. They have to prove themselves. Remember Michigan almost pulled it out last season.
