Isn't the last thing you want to do be to puncture an eardrum when you're hanging up a picture?

  1. just tap on the wall where you are going to nail something. the ears will hear the tap and will move to another part of the wall. i'm glad to see there is someone else that is worried about  ears in the walls.

  2. hey ben,,,,that old saying was coined back before walls were insulated,,,  a person  in another room  could   place a drinking glass to the wall and hear  what was going on,,,,,now a days the insulation is the ears,,,and can not be damaged by nails or screws,,but  it has to be kept dry,,to serve its purpose,,,  so go ahead and hang those pictures,,,if you're still worried bout it,   you can buy self sticking wall hangers ,,that hold up to 25 pounds,,,try Wall-Mart or building supply store,,,,,

  3. It is a saying and not true.

  4. You are going by an old wives tale. Meaning that when you say something aloud, other people around you may hear it and spread the gossip. I sometimes think that at work that even when I am alone with a coworker and what I said gets repeated  that the walls have ears.

  5. put up paneling, the ears will be underneath and not harmed in any way, use glue, not nails, that way you don't get in trouble for harming any wall ears..............

ps, what are you on, i would like to try it
