Well, you look for North-South road, but what heading should you be to do this G.R Training?

  1. All ground reference maneuvers start on a downwind heading except for a rectangular course, which starts at a 45 degree angle to the downwind leg.

    In your example, start on a heading of 090 with the wind on your tail.

    Ground Reference Maneuvers are for learning how to control the aircraft, and adjusting for wind drift. The stronger the wind, the more correction that has to be added to fly the course. If the wind  is from 270, then that portion will  have the shallowest bank , and the turn from 090 will have the steepest bank.
