  1. NOpe, no vision from the top to globilise the sport so smaller market spending money.

  2. EELS turned roosters into feather dusters!

i feel like chicken tonight, like chicken tonight!

  3. No. For the Rugby World Cup there is large TV viewing audiences in many, many countries. This is what brings in the money. In fact in terms of sporting audience viewing it is generally ranked around 6th in the world - behind the Soccer World Cup, Euro Soccer, Olympics (summer and winter) and the one day cricket world cup (well India have 1 bil population). The rugby World Cup even rates highly in Japan, Canada, the US - as well as the established countries already mentioned. Rugby League is played in the north of England, two states in Australia and is a distant second sport in NZ. TV dollars generate the money - and Rugby League just doesn't have the world wide following.

  4. One thing the NRL has over all the other codes is the ability to not make money!!!  This "disneyland" cup wiil not change that!!!

  5. i think it will make a small profit not not enough to make a difference in the nrl, the union was more successful because it had more bigger nations competing in it, but rugby league has fewer strong nations in it, the rugby league world cup is pretty much just between aus, nz and england where the union had them + france, south africa, argentina etc. the smaller nations in rugby league like tonga and samoa dont really have a chance ...realistically

  6. No, I don't even think they will break even.
