  1. In actuality we experience and exist in both this physical realm, which is fleeting and ephemeral compared to the spiritual one, and in the spiritual realm at the same time. We are not bodies with souls, we are souls with bodies. The death of the body is not the death of the soul. Have you ever looked into a mirror? Did you you not exist in that mirror at the same time you existed in front of it? Which one was the real you? Both? Neither? This world is as real as the one in the mirror. We spend nine months, more or less, in our mother's womb preparing for this plane of existence. We die to that one when we are born into this one. This one then is spent preparing for the next one. In a very real sense, we are like God's painting. If you were to do a painting, it would, ignoring the thickness of the paint, be two dimensional. But if we were powerful enough, we could make those two dimensional creatures come into this world and be three dimensional. Our image in the mirror is two dimensional. I think that when our souls are liberated that we will realize we are not truly creatures of just four dimensions, time included as the fourth, but who knows how many dimensions? Perhaps time and space will have no meaning for us? I think that this life for us is simply like looking into a mirror for however many years we are here. It is just that the image we see has captured our attention so effectively that we are for the most part unaware of anything beyond our little mirror. When our body dies, when the mirror is broken, we are forced to look beyond it. And I think that for most if not all of us, when that mirror is finally broken, we will look with wonder and amazement at what is in reality not a death, but a new birth.

  2. What makes you think it will? Because I will not, There is going to be a new earth for those whom God chooses, and different h***s for different people, what ever they sins may be. This is called separating the sheep from the goat, according to the Bible

  3. The question presupposes that the world is an illusion.

    I disagree with the presupposition.

  4. ilusion dosent mean 'NOT PERMANENT' it means not real an  illusion is where your eyes see somthing other than what is real which fools your mind into thinking it is. and your right about the world not being permanent but your soul is, and when this world ends depending on which path you choose , to follow jesus and relize he died for you so you could be in heaven with him and reilize that you are a sinner and ask him to forgive you and make you holy "walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit". or if you choose to do only what pleases you and fall into temptation  disobeying his word you will be cast unto a lake of fire with satan. and is where your soul stays for all eterniny,,, your choice...

  5. The world is not permanent for us as individuals.  It is, however, permanent in and of itself, unless you are waiting for some Apocalypse.  Still, I would not go so far as to say life is an "illusion".  But perhaps that's a semantic difference.  The world is what it is to us because of perception.  And perception is not absolute.  So call it an illusion if you want, so what?  Your question doesn't make sense anyway.  The comparison to dimensionality is actually quite accurate, for people who do believe in eternal souls.  But that would be like saying, "How can the edge of a square exist on a line when there is so much more to it?"  Or, to be even more accurate (since the fourth dimension is time, and since a lifetime is like nothing compared to eternity), you could say, "How is it that I can exist now as well as forever?"  See, there is no contradiction.

  6. It's like 2 part harmony in a song.

Both are being sung at the same time while each is complimenting the other then there comes the time when the song becomes solo again

The real question is why do we have to come here at all ? Why couldn't we stay in spirit form rather than become corporal, as well as, spiritual

    now that's a quandary

  7. I wish you would elaborate. I never understood people who say our lives are an illusion. What does that even mean? If this is an illusion then where are our physical bodies? This isn't the Matrix... at least I don't think so anyways.

Anyways, to kind of answer your question:

Something that is real can exist within something that is unreal, just as how our minds can exist (in a sense) in a virtual reality simulation, even though our bodies are not in the simulation. Our souls inhabit a body, which is pretty much just a bunch of cells and organs working together with the human soul.

Yes, I do believe in the human soul. If we didn't have a soul, then we should by all means be able to come back to life by repairing our bodies. Think about it; robots don't have souls, which is why no matter how damaged they are they can be repaired. But once we die, no matter how much you do to the body, we simply cannot be brought back to life.

Why? Because our souls are only attached to our bodies when they are alive, and once your soul escapes your body, there is no going back.

I hope I answered your question, but even if I didn't, I want to thank you. You have just given me something to right about and opened my mind to a flood of new questions I want to ask about our existence. This is a good idea for a book... hmmm...

  8. The doubt is whether the world is an illusion, not the soul, since you take that to be forever. And the question is how can the real subsist in the unreal, if the world be unreal.

The world is held to be an illusion precisely because it is impermanent..The soul is unreal because it consists only of our identification with the body, senses and ego. And that identification has no reality of its own apart from our identifying. Not so the world; the world is 'really' there as long as it is there, but it is not there forever. The soul is not even there when we perceive it to be there, let alone it being forever.

This would mean that the world, although impermanent,is even on a higher level of reality than the soul. The one exists temporarily, and the other not at all. If now the objection be raised that things can only be real or unreal, that there can be no gradations of 'reality' in between, the answer is that just like the objects seen in a dream exist, in the dreamer's mind at least ,as long as the dream lasts, what is totally non-existent and therefore unimaginable cannot even be the content of dreams.

  9. Eenstien said "life is an illusion"

Edger Casey said "life is an illusion with a purpose"

Our soul is the door way to reality.

  10. The world is not the illusion. The soul/self is. The rest is just a projection of our emptiness.

  11. notice how your statement is pernament, even though what it says is about impermanence? what does your statement says about itself?

as long as you keep thinking, you will never be enlightened. all your knowledge will just be echos of others. do you want to be a scholar or a real buddha? discover then embody eternity for yourself.

  12. The world is not an illusion!

I will agree with you that the world is not permanent but an Illusion? C'monnnnnnnn!!!!!

Our soul exists because the Almighty God brought us into this life. This life will go on forever even after our bodies have been planted in the ground.

  13. All normal mind know reality. The illusions are in mind and mind is where we experience life so it can be real or illusion depending on our choosing.

Man creates his primitive religions out of his fears and by means of his illusions. Religion represents man's adjustment to his illusions of the mystery of chance.

Values are not conceptual illusions; they are real, but always they depend on the fact of relationships.  The eternal real is the good of the universe and not the time illusions of space evil.

Notwithstanding the mythologic vagaries and the psychologic illusions of the intellectual content of religion, the metaphysical assumptions of error and the techniques of self-deception, the political distortions and the socioeconomic perversions of the philosophic content of religion, the spiritual experience of personal religion remains genuine and valid.

Soul has meaning to those who survive but those who don't it has no reality.

  14. For those who take world and life as an Illusion for them soul can never be less than any hallucination for sure. For them every thing which they can touch , smell, see, hear, taste or speak about is just a dream and things which they never ever experienced is a reality.

Concept of h**l and heaven gets defied in absence of such mental block.

  15. But the world is not an illusion!  It is life!!!

  16. everything is becoming something else.

  17. We made it this way. I guess that's what they mean by, "you've made your bed, now sleep in it" (until you wake up).
