If there's a book that made you fall in love with sociology, which one would that be?

I would like to better understand what sociology really means, would like to know if that's something I could really love. But in order to love it or not, I need to understand it. so Im looking for some interesting literature about sociology.

  1. C. Wright Mills' The Sociological Imagination. This is a classic of sociological theory in the truest form. It may be a tiny book but its impact on sociology was huge.


  2. There was not a book, but a study done by Dr Robert Maril (head of the Sociology dept at Eastern Carolina University)

    The title is "The Impact of Mandatory Auto Insurance Upon Low Income Americans"

    This is the first study I have found listing the harmful effects of mandatory auto insurance laws.  44% of those responding to the survey said they could not buy food or pay rent due to mandatory auto insurance.  At last someone is looking at the damage being done by mandatory auto insurance laws.
