-polar ice caps are melting

-crazy weather patterns all over the place (here in toronto canada, we got more precipitation this year so far than any other year in the last...i dunno around 60 years)

-ocean temperatures are warming up

-fish are migrating more north in the northern hemisphere in search for colder waters

-various studies have been done and scientists have concluded that as CO2 levels in the atmosphere rise, so does the average temperature.

i mean, you can go on and on. but there is NO scientist in the world that has found something to prove that climate change doesn't exist.

why do people still deny? scared to face the harsh truth? scared to change?

CHANGES IN THE WEATHER ARE INEVITABLE-IT HAD HAPPENED IN THE PAST AND IT'LL CONTINUE TO HAPPEN IN THE FUTURE. WE DO NOT NEED SCIENTIFIC DATA TO PROVE OR DISAPPROVE IT.

THE VOLCANOES, FOREST FIRES, STORMS AND HURRICANE ARE SOME OF THE CHANGES NATURE DISPLAYS. BUT WE HAVE TO ACCEPT IT IN WHATEVER FORM THE CHANGE COMES.

  Global temperatures have decreased about .5 degrees in the last ten years.  Where are you getting your information?  

  I know of 31,000 scientists that disagree with this theory and the evidence does not back it up.

  The climate changes when it wants to change.  The temperatures on the earth have been much hotter and cooler than they are today.

  BTW, It was Columbus that that underestimated the circumference of the earth and thought he could find a shorter route to the far east.

  There is no evidence that CO2 increases before temperature.  It increases after warming.  Do some research.

Theories CAN be proven, then they're called laws.

AGW just HASN'T been proven.    You're forgetting the A in AGW.

It's warmer than it was 100 years ago.

It's not warmer than it was 1000 years ago, long before SUVs, and it is not warmer than it was 10 years ago, even though there are more SUVs now than then.

It's really just an issue of semantics.  Technically you can't prove a scientific theory, because there's always the possibility that somehow the theory is wrong.  Of course, you can't "prove" evolution, but we know it's true because there's overwhelming supporting evidence.  You can't "prove" man-made global warming, but again, there's overwhelming supporting evidence so we know it's correct.

If you believe there is no scientific evidence that casts doubt on the theory then one would assume you arent looking for it becuase there is plenty out there.

We all know that the climate changes.  Doubt anyone would argue that.  

But if your looking for someone to buy carbon credits, im not one.  your last commentary about who is benefiting from not believing in global warming, well its the people who just want to be good stewards to the environment and will go along with these theories and end up spending their money in the form of taxes or even direct payments like buying carbon credits.  

The idea of buying off irresponsibility via carbon credits is simply ridiculous anyway.  Leave it to a wealthy guy like Gore and friends to come up with something like that.

Also hard to take people like this seriously when they kicked everything off with that climate change conference in Bali and flew about 10k or more people down there in jets.  why didnt they use the internet that Al invented and do video converencing?  because its all about the show.

Global warming is a giant scam to make money.  Your list are just lies created to scare children.  Feel free to investigated the claims for yourself.

A theory is a guess.  Once it has been demonstrated and the demonstration is repeatable by anyone.  It stops becoming a theory.

No one has demostrated global warming or produce repeatable evidence of it.  Only wild speculation and unsupported claims.  Anything to scare children.

The good news is the money for them is running out.  Carbon Credits closed on the Chicago Exchange today at $3.98.

Global Warming will end when there is no more money in promoting it.

Im not certain that anyone is denying the fact that the climate is changing..I do believe the big question is what is causing it to change? Is it us? Is it just the earth going thru one of it many cycles that it has been going thru since the beginning? Who knows? I don't believe that it is people causing global warming. I think that 4 million years ago the earth was in much more turmoil than it is now what with god knows how many volcanoes and meteors hitting it and so much unrest and It survived. as I think it will continue to do. The question is how many of us will. Will it be gradual enough that most humans will have a chance to evolve with it. I think the earth is just going thru a cycle. I don't believe a word al gore says but some see him as a kind of religious figure. Its all about opinions and in the long run nothing harmful can come from taking better care of the earth. its a win win. The only problems I have is when people (namely celebs) try to tell me how much I should drive my car or how much toilet paper I can use. We have barely scratched the surface of the earths climate and even with all our hi tech stuff there will always be conflicting opinions on both sides. The earth has been around a long time and in the big scheme of things humans have been around not even a fraction of that time so to be so egotistical as to think we are responsible for such a huge thing such as climate change is a little narcissistic on our part.

So..to make a long story short, do what you see as correct, don't let other peoples opinions affect your own and research research research. hope this helped..

Why do people deny that global warming is happening and caused by us?

I suspect the answers to those three questions will be very similar.

Then you've got the people who propose stupid solutions to global warming, things like carbon credits (which are mostly just a scam) or wind power (which can't even run a country without fossil fuel backup) and their real reason for believing that carbon credits or 'renewables' will save the planet is much the same as those who think global warming isn't happening.

I suspect that it is only a minority of denialists that actually have a financial interest in fossil fuel energy although the ones that do have such an interest do tend to be the most well known.

There is no denying that the climate is changing. But then again, it always has. Ice Ages, the medieval warm period, we have gone through all this before. What is interesting is this modern obsession that climate should not change and if it does, it has to be our fault. There are many instances of rapid and disastrous climate change in history that certainly cannot be attributed to man's activities. Some 4,000 years ago, the Southern Cross was visible from England due to a much larger tilt of the earth's axis. Around that time the climate in England changed so quickly over the space of less than a generation that all hill top dwellers were forced down into the valleys causing the first land wars. This rapid climate change was not due to man's activities.

There are more factors affecting the Earth's climate than are taken into account by the pro man made global warming brigade. Any thing that does not fit in with their ideas and models is not scientifically investigated, but merely dismissed as the ideas of stupid people, many of whom are actually very well recognized climate scientists. Much of the hard evidence of global warming is actually anecdotal, not well researched The IPCC claim that their climate model is backed by over 2500 scientists. The latest global warming paper from the UN is split into 3 parts - part one is the science of global warming, part 2 is the effects of climate change and part 3 is mitigation. However recent admissions from the UN are that about 600 scientists worked on part one of the latest paper meaning that the work of 1900 scientists is only valid if part one of the study is right. In all 3 scientists read the whole of the first part of the latest paper and commented on it. Around eleven scientists read and commented on 5 chapters. Any one who disputed the science was ignored by the editors and their comments were not included in the final paper. Others were told that there was not enough room for their comments in a paper that spanned 11 chapters and 1000 pages. Many scientists left the IPCC, disgusted at the lack of real science in the first part of the paper, but the IPCC still insisted on including their names in the credits for the paper, even though they asked for their names to be withdrawn. As far as the IPCC is concerned – An honest man, once proven wrong, either stops being wrong, or stops being honest. Those who left the IPCC, at odds with the science are the honest men.

Have you actually researched these 'facts' or have you just spouted off mindlessly what you've been told without questioning it first? No offense but it's this kind of thing that is causing the decline of scientific integrity in the world.

Fist you've stated that the ice caps are melting. This is mostly NOT TRUE. There is a bit of melting in one portion of Antarctica but this is easily explained by the volcanic hot spot underneath the ice. Everywhere else the icecaps are actually freezing over.

Second you said that scientific studies show that there is a correlation between temperature rise and CO2 emissions. The only study that showed this was internationally discredited because the model was tampered with to get the answer they wanted. Real scientific studies show that there is not correlation between temperature and CO2 levels particularly not over the long term which is how we should be viewing things.

Your last fact states that no scientists has found any evidence against global warming. I laugh at that. I think the reason you haven't found any is because you haven't looked. What happened to end the Ice Age? Global Warming!

Does Mans activities in Industry and life effect it? maybe, maybe not.

Reason;

We have only Truly started the study of Climate, it's changes, what was happening in the world prior to those changes, etc. . .

Some things we know. Nuclear Radiation,BAD, Doesn't go away for Very long time.

Co2 and the effects it has on the atmosphere. May still be in question.

We know it's Bad effects on People!

Yes, the Earth has warmed.
