  1. A police report?  How will you be able to determine where the fraud took place?

  2. Ask them.

    It's the best way.

    -x-

  3. take it up with the company first, you can file a report but the police will do nothing about it..

  4. We've had our credit card information stolen a number of times in the past 3 years.  The credit card company automatically files (here anyway) a police report.  I would guess though that different credit card companies handle it differently.

If it has happened to you, check with them...good luck..it's a mess to clean up

  5. It depends... the credit card company will investigate the fraud  but it depends on who was monetarily hurt by it.  If the credit card company covers the fraudulent activity, their insurance will go after the individual.  If you have to cover it, then you will need all the documentation to back you up.  Ask the company, but it is a crime so you have every right to file a police report to stay safe.

  6. If I felt that there was a credit card fraud involving my card...I would not be waiting for someone else to be filing the report...call the police, call the bank, call the credit card company and call the place that the fraud started from...Let the police and the other companies go ahead and do their thing...but you can also be on the ball and do your own foot work..that way things do not get lost between the cracks which can happen and you will be the one who suffers.
