...and why is the welsh dragon not on the union jack in the first place?

  1. we will have our independence from the english tyrants. yes the flag wull need to be changed. we have ours and  english have theirs. england should just keep your white flag and red cross. we Scots like ours as it is

i can nae wait to be free of the weakness of the english. let them see what its like to be a none entity in world doings, as the EUski swallows up westmintser and englands people are forced top give up their nation and nationality to the EUski and have to call them selves northern european

    With All Due Respect

to the other answer above me . why are you so afraid of us Scots, do you have a guilty conscience or have you always been afraid.  we wull not build up arms on our border we do nae want to kill english.

we wull only fight if you try to stop us when we vote , if the nation of Scotland votes to leave we wull go if you attempt to stop us we wull fight. then you can be afraid. if we vote to stay the issue is settled.

stop shaking with fear and have a cup of tea, your in no danger as yet.

you english are very afraid these days, why is that?

  2. No.

  3. My friend the scots will always be part of the uk

i know that the idea of them been seprate as been ruled out, for one big reason, we share same land mass and that could lead to invasion from other countries if scots build up weapons on the border.

  4. On the Australian flag only the Union Jack will be removed when we ever do become a republic.

  5. Jeez!

    Who cares?

    I think......

a deep fried Mars bar for Scotland

    Next to a Sheep's a**s for Wales

Next to Catholic girl's moustache for Ireland

as for England, do we even have an identity?

Perhaps a Red Shield as Rothschild owns the whole caboodle anyway.

  6. Christ I hope to h**l the effing Scots get their Independence.

They cost us English tax payer about £12,000,000,000 per annum.

That effing Gordan CLOWN is making a c**k up of trying to run this country, the lying cheating bustard that he is. Let the Scots have him back.

He can go back to Scotland and play Chancellor to the Scottish tax payers. At the last count there was less than 100,000 people in Scotland that actually pay any tax. The rest are to poor or benefit scroungers, the benefits of course, paid by the poor old English tax payer.

Yes give the effing scots their Independence, the sooner the better.

BUT DONT GIVE THE FUGGERS ANY MORE OF MY TAX MONEY>

P.S. Just noticed Big D's comments above.

What have the Scots given to the development of the world then.

Dead sheeps gut stuffed with a load of rubbish that no civilised person would eat.

The ugliest sounding musical instrument (Did I say musical???) that has ever blighted this world.

And so called men (most with hairless legs) wearing skirts.

  7. The Scots will no doubt keep their beloved Saltire. But England, Wales, and Northern Ireland will need to design a new union flag. All the blue will disappear so maybe they could replace that with green to represent Wales. They could also stick a little dragon in the middle with a red rose between his teeth for England, and maybe a shamrock stamped on his side for Northern Ireland. lol :-)

  8. I feel that full Scottish Independence is a very long way away. The Australians and Kiwis are far more likely to take the lead.

However, even if the Scots elected for a new flag it does not follow that the others you listed should do anything to theirs.

As to a symbol well the English rugby fans have adopted a rose, but then so did the New Labour folk. And there were the Wars of the Roses ! Best leave symbolism alone methinks.

Many Scots emigrated to New Zealand so many places bear witness too that, for example, Dunedin. The historical link to Scotland would not be broken whatever the constitutional arrangements were.

I love Scotland and the Scots - I married one :) and I am always made to feel welcome there - I am of mixed European parentage.. But I do sometimes find it hard to understand the antagonism that some Scots display towards outsiders. It's a big world and the Scots have played a huge part in its development. They are rightfully proud of their record.

Displaying hatred of other races is never acceptable. Racism is not just about black and white.

    (Rant over ! )
