  1. Absolutely...if there were no Heaven, then there'd be no h**l. If I found that out today, I'd be changing some things about the way I try to live my life!

  2. That's a pretty big 'if'. And I think that most, obviously don't want to know. Or the levels of denial surrounding it would not be so high.

That's a no brainier really, I mean there is absolutely no evidences after a few thousand years, yet people still are in serious denial and tip toe around the subject.

  3. No.  That would be extremely depressing and likely to give me a panic attack.

  4. What do you mean "IF?"

  5. yep, your kids, forget the other supernatural bullshit

  6. you wouldn't be able to know anything. Your brain would have stopped working. Doesn't it suck to believe in Atheism?

  7. okay - let's lighten things up a bit here - these answers are way too serious. Ya'll need to get with the program here.

Would I want to know - NO - I have faith in my own beliefs and what will be will be.  No need to preach a sermon on here everybody.

Oh I can just see the thumbs down now - BRING IT ON!

    Hugs and LOVE MY TIGER!

  8. no i would not...part of looking forward to it ending!

  9. how to continue living

  10. BUT I KNOW THEIRS HEAVEN, h**l, OR PURGATORY.

  11. Of course.  The only thing I have ever wanted is the ultimate truth.

  12. I already believe that, but yes, if it were a fact, I'd want to know.

You shall receive many, many 'No's' here.

    Fireball remains true to form.

  13. i feel that i already kind of do

not exclusively or conclusively of course

but logically and considering reality and probability, it looks unlikely  ;-(

so yes, i want knowledge and understanding, whether that means scary truth or not is of no consequence to my wanthing to know

  14. Sure.  I don't think it would make me go around killing people, but I'd still want to know.

  15. when you tell me how can you have thoughts/memory without a brain Ill give you the answer.

  16. I will go on to another life....hopefully better than this one..if i have made good karma...

  17. no BUT THERE IS!!!!!!!!

  18. if you were asleep.

    would you want to know?

    it doesn't matter does it?

you're not gonna know anything, it's the end of conciousness

  19. If there were no afterlife, life would be pointless. There would be nothing to live for.

Everything you do, everything you are would just end, the same with your friends, family.

With that outlook, why have friends and family anyway, if it's all going to end, and if it makes no difference?

If there were no afterlife, it would make no difference to me if I knew or not. Yes, it'd probably affect the way I live, but if there's no afterlife, the way I live doesn't matter in the slightest.

Believing in some form of afterlife, whatever that is, gives you a reason for existing, and a point to your life. It makes more sense to believe in at least a basic form of that than just nothing after death at all.

I think that living for a reason is better than living just to die, to be honest.

  20. if there is no afterlife I'm guessing I never will know ...I'll be too dead to notice.

If someone was to tell me there isn't one, I'd say they were making it up.

  21. Honestly, do we know if there actually IS an afterlife?  I mean, as a Catholic, I was raised to believe there is something better after the great beyond and it is more wonderful than anything here on earth.  I am hoping there is an afterlife, because it would really suck if this was all there was to life.  I'd have to start changing things now just to make up for all the crappiness I've allowed hoping I was moving on to something better one day.

  22. nobody has came back to tell us there is or there isn"t, so guess just get on with this life and make it the best you can.

  23. Nope. Knowing there's something to look forward to has made me a better person. If I believed this is all there is, I would lead a very reckless life.

  24. There is. Type NDE ( Near Death Experience) in youtube, google etc.

Here is one NDE account by someone called Ian McCormacks, it is a bit long but interesting:

  25. I am quite comfortable in my belief that there isn't.

One life is quite enough for me, thank you.

  26. I already do.
