  1. I guess it would be Kathryn the first.... What a good question.

Its the spelling of the name that counts, not the pronounciation.

    Have a star.

  2. It would depend if the first Kathryn was a queen who was crowned and reigned in her own right (Like Elizabeth II of the UK or Beatrice of the Netherlands) or if she was the wife of the King and so had the honorary title of Queen (Like Anne Boleyn or Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon).

Reigning queens are called Queens Regnant and they tend to have Regnal Numbers (The First, The Fourth etc.)

Wives of reigning Kings are called Queens Consort and they never have regnal numbers.

So if the both were reigning queens, the first would be a I and the second a II.

Interestingly, Mary of Scots was the Queen Regnant of Scotland and the Queen Consort of France;  some people are just a it on the greedy side.

  3. Queen Kathryn the first.

  4. errrrm yes....i think......dunno is it Cathy?

  5. Kathryn the first, Kathryn with a K is so much more alluring than Catherine with a C!!

  6. It depends on the spelling, however, it depends whether the Queen Catherine was a Queen regnant (like the present Queen Elizabeth II)  or a Queen Consort.

A King or Queen never uses a number if they're the first Monarch of that name. Queen Elizabeth I was know as Queen Elizabeth for nearly 400 years from 7 September 1553 (when she ascnded the throne) and 6 February 1952 (when Queen Elizabeth II ascended the throne). That is why King Stephen, King John, Queen Anne and Queen Victoria have no number after their name.

  7. Queen Kathryn the second.

You can not confuse the English people just because their queen can not spell.

  8. It could be Kathryn the first as technically it is a different name to Catherine due to the spelling, but it would be difficult when speaking to refer to them as different names.  So it would have to be Kathryn the Second. Phew.

  9. Kathryn I since it's a different name!

  10. They would compromise and call her queen Katie!

  11. She would be able to pick a name....

I believe that Prince Charles intends becoming a King George (ghua)

  12. The daughter will either become "Queen Kathryn I" or "Queen Catherine II" depending whichever reigning title she want to use. If she wants to use her birthname, than she will go with "Queen Kathryn I." If she wants to continue her mother's legacy, she will use her mother's reign title as "Queen Catherine II." There are more chances of her using "Queen Catherine II" rather than her own name to prevent confusion.

A monarch's reign title does not neccessarily have to be their birthname, although it is very common to name an heir or heiress after their own name or a famous monarch.

  13. The spelling difference would be a new name entirely, and thus she'd be the First.

This of course presumes that both queens were reigning monarchs, since queens consort are not numbered.

  14. INTERESTING QUESTION!!! I think she'd be called the second
