or global catastophes or whatever, you almost certainly would not be coming back to earth. by some incrediable means they have supplies of (or means of suppling ) needs only (food,oxygen,light,...,) for 50 years. OK you are allowed to take 1 want with a weight of 5 lbs. or less and you have 5 minutes to decide, what do you think you might take? no weapons allowed, and there is no way of stealing or taking anothers resources, even if they die you can only use yours.
