If there was killing in Georgia, why didn't the Russians act sooner ?

the USA used saddams killing from 20 years ago to justify invading iraq after they already invaded once in the 1990's. I know it's all a game for power and money, the hype about freedom, democracy and genocide is a bunch of BS. That's why i'm quite sure the holocaust never happened. It's the same lies and excuses for war that everyone has made for thousands of years. You dumb asses still believe it. So why didn't they invade sooner. 2 choices depending on what you want to believe. 3 really, cause i forgot you want a war with russia.

1. Time wasn't right- it was a build up of situations, the genocide happened and then other things stacked on top with the invasion of ossetia being the straw that broke the camels back.

2. Time wasn't right it's all a game. Russia waited for the olympics to distract (though really is that a great distraction, were we all fooled because there's a swim meet on tv. that's dumb. We are not so stupid or easily distracted.

3. or as you suggest, it never happened, just like the holocaust never happened. For shame on me for thinking you say. Well you want to deny that ossetians were killed, why can';t i deny jews were killed.

and what was sposed to be done?

russia was sposed to enter georgia BEFORE they even made the first strike? i have no idea if there was some information bout it or not, but there was not so much to do for the russian side anyways, was there?

after all even when they did strike and the russian forces moved on into georgia, everybody keeps sayin tht russia is invading georgia, then wht wud've happened if we prevented it?

edit: 2 leluuu - the thing is, tht there was some negotiation, after which the georgian guy said he wud not attack ossetia and will make anything to find a solution together. on the olypmics openning night we found out tht it was a lie. now i dont really understand why u choose to believe to cnn, bbc or whtever u watch there, but dont u at least get a bit suspicious about it? its like omg they already even started admitting tht they were wrong about who started this thing but they still dont get the comments of the osetians themselves.. that means they still have smthing to hide, dont u think so? i know its kinda weird to even get an idea tht ur being lied by such trustful source of information, by such "independent" one, but jeez.. u really cant see it, can u?

edit2: as for the number.. well even considering tht the intelligence new about the strike coming up.. see it was not really planned like complete destruction of these villages, georgians wanted to take over them, but they fought back and thats why i think there were so many casualties, georgians just kept on bombin them..

Why slowly?

Just very quickly.

After 12 hours already in the tanks went to South Ossetia.

We (Russian) were not prepared for such events and do not keep troops in combat readiness.

A few hours before the attack Tshinvla Saakashvili in his speech denied the possibility of forceful solution to the conflict.

Now you are blaming russians ...and what would be then? Dont matter how-russians aren't right.

The war in Georgia was very well planned, not by russians, by the ones who behind Georgia, they knew not only how to get to russians, but also how to twist the truth about it. Georgia started bombing South Ossetia on the day Olympics started, all the cameras are there, all the attention, to make the things faster, Georgia started savage killing of civilians-they knew Russia will have to react, those few first days are lost on your TVs, why dont you ask yourselves WHY? We have vodeos and people, refugees from those days, where they come from do you think?????    

....if Putin was even a bit of dictator as many portrey him-he would have shut down BBC-Russia, i watched the news there and never will again.... nobody cares about dead people, refugees and the truth is twisted shamelessly!

thats what i am claiming, in the 21st Century there are lots of means to say whateva u want to say to another country

i mean they could have informed Georgia to stop fire or genocide ( its how Russians say) or coudl have informed the international community about it,, but they never did that coz they knew in this case Russians wld be forbidden to use force, and thats exactly what they wanted
