  2. I take it you're asking about the Matrix movies?  The laws-of-physics limitations were in place to keep the general population from realizing they were in a simulation, not a real-world existence.

    Morpheus tells Neo that **some** rules (not all) can be bent and **some** (again, not all) can be broken, so apparently even the freed people ("redpills") are subject to most of the same limitations while they're in the Matrix, and even "The One" types like Neo can't break ALL of the rules.

  3. Because of fork, regular world like physics is a dish with a hole in it.
