Okay well I'm only 13 and there isn't much I can do but,

I've been..

Recycling

Planting flowers and trees

Picking up trash everywhere I go (Park,School ect.)

Using my bicycle to go places in the neighborhood instead of a car.

ONE WAY is not enough.  :-) You need more than that.

But I like what the Book of Proverbs in the Bible says about the importance of getting wisdom and knowledge:

Proverbs 4: 7 -- Wisdom is supreme. Get wisdom. Yes, though it costs all your possessions, get understanding.

Proverbs 16:16 -   How much better is it to get wisdom than gold, and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver

The first thing you might want to do to "save the world," especially if you're a young person, is to get an education so that you have some understanding of what needs saving, and how you might save it.

As part of this, you ought to get as much high school, college & graduate school education as you can afford -- for starters.

As another part of this, recognize that what you learn in school is just the prelude to the learning that you need to keep doing throughout your life, to "save the world" effectively.  

As still another part of this, recognize, too, that you need to understand more than just a single intellectual or professional specialty to "save the world," if in fact you can save it.  You need to get a fairly broad-based understanding of what the world and its problems are like, and that means being somewhat open to different professional knowledge specialities, different perspectives.

A final part of educating yourself to save the world is to realize that you're just one person, and you won't save it alone.  You'll need to identify other people working on the same kinds of problems, and see how you can work with them.

For me, saving the environment from degradation at the hands of human beings is a good place to focus your lifelong effort at getting educated.  It's not the only major world problem, but it's a very important one.  

So I'd recommend that you devote your learning efforts there, for starters.
