  1. The Cubs are already the most popular team in the nation. Sure the Yankees and the Red Sox dominate the east coast and have a good following elsewhere. But Cub fans quite often outnumber the  Home crowds when playing road games. Yankees and Red Sox fans are much more Loud I must admit having some of each in my family.

  2. Probably the Cubs, everyone loves the underdog and there's no bigger underdog than the Cubs.

  3. the cubs or mets

  4. Well, I don't know why Old school got thumbed down but he is right. Not, just because I live in the Cardinals state but I have noticed that no matter where the Cards are playing there is always Cardinal fans.

  5. METS

  6. I hate saying it because my brother went to college in Chicago, but the Cardinals.

As much as I despise Ankiel, the fans are among the most loyal and knowlegable of any sports team worldwide. (of their sport anyway)

  7. The Cards because their fans seem to always be into them year after year through thick and thin.

  8. Cubs

  9. Mets.

  10. this year the cubs are everybodys team to watch

  11. Cubs/Rays just because they're both having a good season

  12. Mets

    Giants

    Dodgers

    Cubs

  13. Who said that those two are the most popular ?  I've been all over this country and I most say that the St.Louis Cardinals have the biggest fan base coast to coast. The most educated baseball fans as well.

  14. My vote would be for Manchester United. hee hee hee.

  15. San Francisco Giants

    -Beautiful Stadium

    -New Prospects

    -The Freak [Tim Lincecum]

    -Large Fan base.

  16. I think most Red Sox fans are bandwagoners as are the Yankees fans

  17. The Cubs.

  18. As much as I hate to admit it, it's the Cubs.

  19. Cubs or Dodgers

  20. It's pretty up in the air. I don't think it would be the Cubbies, because they don't have a strong rivalry like the Yanks vs. the Sox. In all honesty, and not just because I myself am a fan, I think it would be the Giants. The Giants have a long and storied history as one of the original teams to be playing professional baseball. They also have their heated rivalry against the Bums in Blue, those d**n Dodgers.

Many great players have played for the Giants: Mays, McCovey, Cepeda, Irvin, etc. etc. I must also say, Barry Bonds has done many things to boost the teams popularity, breaking several records and reaching many milestones at Pac Bell Park.

In their heyday, the Giants were so good, they turned down one of the greatest hitters of all time: Lou Gehrig. Who knows? If there were no Yanks or Sox, he would have become a Dodger, thus fueling the rivalry and boosting the Giants chances at popularity.

  21. I would say the LA Angels of Anaheim.  They are very hot and lots of bandwagon fans would jump on them so they could root for the best team in baseball.

  22. Cardinals. Major baseball city, most titles (aside from the Yankees) and a rich baseball history.

The Cubs would be second, assuming they hadn't broken their curse.

  23. st louis
