Personally, I'm not interested in having a sexual relationship with my brother, and I doubt he thinks of me in that special way either.

I do feel that people who have sexual relationships with people closely related by blood are almost always troubled and dysfunctional on several levels, but unless there is coercion or a disregard for any children of such a union, I really don't see it as something I would care much about.

However, if the people involved were close to me, I would probably urge them to seek counselling before pursuing a course which would see them ostracised and condemned by many.

But, the law is another thing. Incest is illegal in many places. This is very useful in stopping people molesting kids, so it is doubtful it will ever become 'legal' or 'accepted'.

If this is the case where they live, such people are breaking the law and run the risk of being called criminals and even imprisoned in some places.

No it is a big taboo. It is a taboo that protects against genetic in-breeding. It also protects against emotional incest.

Even sexual relations with cousins are frowned upon especially first cousins.

You may, for example, love your teacher. This doesn't mean you have to follow through with those feelings. You can and should learn to love someone else even though you may find it hard at first.

You may find it hard to get out of this relationship without outside help. But who do you turn to?

They are breaking the law because incest is illegal, and rightly so. Birth control isn't 100% effective, and any children that result may be born with genetic abnormalities. It's not fair on the child; there are billions of people in the world, no one has to have s*x with a relative.

I think it's unusual, and I would never be comfortable having a relationship with a sibling, but I don't personally think it's my right to say what two consenting adults do in their own home when no one is getting hurt.  It is a felony in my state, Pennsylvania.
