  1. it depends on how many hours you spend at the computer each day. If its frequent and for excessively long periods of time than the tension in you eye builds up and that can cause your eyes some serious damage. your Eyes function like any other muscles in your body. If you use a muscle for too much, it will eventually put a strain on you!

  2. idk but i used 2 use it a lot and my eyes r bad now :(

  3. "They" are wrong, computers don't contribute to vision loss.

  4. NO, it cannot damage your eyes, but it can cause myopia and you will see a decrease in your distance vision. You may not notice it but the next time you go to the eye doctor, you will find out you are slightly myopic. However, this does not happen to everyone, it depends how old you are and mainly your genetic factors.

  5. Computer use CANNOT damage your eyes, but it can cause eyestrain.  Sometimes glasses are needed to relieve blurring or headaches from computer use.  Also, the increase demand on your eyes when using a computer for extended periods can cause a prescription to show up earlier than it would have without the use of computers.

You are correct.  Millions of people use computers everyday and still have great eyesight.
