Mexico has their own oil fields.  They pump out more oil than they need.  So much that they can export it.  USA has our own oil field but we need it so much that we have to buy more than what we can pump out of the ground.

Also the labor there is much cheaper than in the rest of the developing world.

They don't have so many environmentalists there.They make their own gas there.

Where can I get some of the mexican fuel shipped over here (Ireland)? Ours is slightly over £6 a gallon or approximately $12 + a gallon.

A number of reasons, not everyone in Mexico has a car, they also have lower EPA restrictions then we do here in the states. This allows them to manufacture the fuel at a cheaper cost. However, you compare Paso to dollars, and the exchange rate brings their fuel prices out to be around 6 or 7 dollars a gallon. So while it seems cheap to us, it's just as big of a bite out of their pockets as it would be for us.

Because unlike the good ole USA, they dont have the red tape and tree  huggers we have to put the brakes on building refineries.  Plus, they dont use as much ( supply and demand) unlike lazy, spoiled americans who drive an suv 2 blocks to the grocery store, or across the state just to be with thier "freinds" ( who probably dont even like them anyway)
