  1. Yes this is the first time China has come first.

People think that Americans are jealous for this very reason. They try and make it obvious to everyone and overstate their dominance in the past. Americans should just appreciate and embrace Chinas efforts at these games.

Also, the way they use the medal table to desperately gain some dominance over China. They suddenly used 'total' medal count as oppose to the gold medal count after all these years when China surprisingly dominated the US for the first time.

  2. Why is everyone accusing the US being jealous? Because if they are not the best ones, its easier saying China cheated.

Pd.: My favourite country is USA and people is incredible but there are fools in all countries

  3. it's because they know we dominate every olympics and think we are jealous

  4. CHICAGO 2016!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I live in chicago. I vowed that ill either be in those olympics or be there for every track event! GO CHICAGO/AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. Its because US kept complaining about everything China. from its economy being supplied by the chinese to the number of gold medals won, they just can't accept losing. Thats not only jealous. Thats similar to a baby crying unfair.

  6. U.S.Revenge . . . . So by your reckoning, GB did far better than the USA, winning more than half the gold medals that USA did, and with a population of one-fifth of the USA.

Incidentally, USA had 596 competitors - GB 313.

  7. This is China's best showing at the Summer Olympic games compared to their previous attendance.  No nation really wins the Olympics but if you need to point that out, I hope it makes you feel better.  Maybe you should consider all Olympics not just the Summer Olympics.  You should consider the Summer, Winter, Para, and Special Olympics.

I've been waiting for such a performance for a lot time.  The China is over 3000 years old with 1.3B population.  American's is less 300 years old with a less than a quarter of the population.

  8. China with a population of 1.2 billion people compared to America with it tiny population of 365 million, you tell me who won? Mathematics suggest that a Chinese victory should have been hands down! "Freedom Reigns"

  9. china came 2

  10. Chinese, The Most Envied Race/Civilization

huge land, a pure race, culturely, great economy, great technology, strong military and nukes, most thoughtful leaders, independent political system, physically superior(olympics), superpower

the huge land and pure race combination is enough. mutts (americans), and losers from failed races/civilizations(small countries) envy the pure and mighty Chinese race

  11. because the world couldnt sustain the amount of groundless and ceaseless bitching and whining of USA no more

  12. USA has won the Olympics 0 times. No country 'wins' the Olympics. China got the most golds, but it's hard to say they "dominated". They dominated certain sports: Table tennis, badminton, diving, gymnastics, and weightlifting. That's the only thing china dominated. Meanwhile, Jamaica dominated Track, USA dominated Volleyball, beach volleyball basketball, swimming, and was right there with womens gymnastics. Basically USA dominated the 'team sports'.

There is no way to pick an Olympic winner.

    But just for some information:

    In all-time medal count:

    (Total Golds)

    1. USA - 930

    2. USSR(defunct) - 395

    3. Great Brittan - 207

    4. France - 191

    5. Italy - 190

    6. China - 163

    6. Germany - 163

So You see, The US is quite far ahead even in just golds... the total medal numbers are just downright scary (we're talking well over 1,000 ahead more than twice as much as the next highest country on the list). No, it's gonna be a good long while until someone over takes the US on this table... Think centuries...

Of course lets be fair and adjust for how many games each country has been in:

    1. USSR(defunct) - 395 / 9 = 43.8 golds per games

    2. USA - 930 / 25 = 37.2 golds per games

    3. East Germany (defunct) 153 /  5 = 30.6

    4. Russia  108 / 4 = 27

    5. China - 163 / 8 = 20.375

    6. Germany - 163 / 14 = 11.64

Yup... that's pretty d**n solid. One games does not a dynasty make, nor can it a dynasty break.

Oh ...To that guy that says 'suddenly the US uses total medal count', needs to check their sources on that, or they are just lying to make themselves feel better. It's always been done in the states this way. Just Google a 2004 or 2000 final medal table from any US source. heck go back to the dawn of the internet in the 90's if you can. They all are ranked by total medals. Always have been, always will.

  13. We are not jealous.. lol At least I dont know anyone who is.. I think they were wonderful in diving and such, and we also had some amazing atheletes out there :) all is good.. and being on their home turf they should get the most gold.. its always fun to represent at home!
