Self proclaimed opposers of the Turkish ruler party, AKP, are being arrested one by one, including journalists, politicians, businessmen and retired soldiers, under a stupid Ergenekon investigation, and certain Western circles are STILL defending AKP's "freedoms". What about the freedom of speech? The freedom to have a political standing? The freedom to critisize whatever ill you see?

Is the 53% of the population, which didn't vote for AKP, safe? Who can still say that AKP is a "liberal, democratic party with religious sensitivities"? And why does AKP have such support in Europe and USA? Cheesy!

  1. those people who live outside Turkey make really naive comments (this goes to fidget)

We -the people who are actually living in Turkey- do know very well that these are REALLY the footsteps of fascism.

    AKP = n**i party

RTE = Hitler (fromm the mustache to anti-semitism he has)

    veil / headscarf = SWASTIKA

and this (so-called) Ergenekon operation is being the KRISTAL NACHT

  2. Hmm; as a foreigner who has just visited Turkey a couple of times and who has some turkish friends, I guess I may not have enough knowledge about turkish internal affairs...

I'm not  really confident in this party, though...

I suppose most of you have at least some fair arguments for judging these people...

I think religious tendancies shouldn't be allowed in politics, even if they seem to be moderate...

  3. The human rights situation in Turkey, particularly the torture problem, has improved since the ruling AKP is in power. You can believe me that this is a fact...

    BUT

I consider these improvements as a farce. AKP is following a goal and that is the installment of a Sharia based state. In order to reach that goal they use the basic freedoms as an excuse. Their goal is not the freedom of the religion, as they say. It's the rule of religion achieved by using the instruments of the rule of law. As soon as they get there, the rule of law will be gone.

Although some of the problems of Turkey regarding the human rights have improved, you can see in numerous examples that the AKP is not serious with them. First of all, you know how RTE is treating his critics in the press (freedom of the press!). And you know what happened last May 1 in Istanbul (freedom of the assembly!). A very actual example is the following (http://www.radikal.com.tr/Default.aspx?a...

Western countries are just not aware of these problems. Nobody knows anything about Fetullah who is the real leader of the AKP Sharia brothers. Nobody knows that RTE kneeled down before Gulbudin Hekmatyar. Nobody is aware that RTE said that he IS actually a Sharia brother ("Elhamdüllah seriatçiyim").

The only thing what the Western countries see is that there is less torture in Turkey and torture my friend is really a problem.

  4. Dear Blunt,

    You are right,

There is a Expression, 'Fluttering like a Bird' ...

    Well maybe Last Fluttering ...

  5. hi Blunt Dostum,

as the Worker party, we  are ready to defence our country against to the imperialism and we known very well that who supports RTE and AKP!

in Turkish we say "ECELİ GELEN KÖPEK,CAMİ AVLUSUNA İŞERMİŞ" but,in Türkiye ,Kemalists never allow that!

finally ,i say "HEPİMİZİN GAZASI MÜBAREK OLSUN!"

  6. Those happening in Turkey nowadays are the same as what happened in Georgia, Ukrain and Iraq- Iraq was a bit bloody, though: more than one million lives! The big boss does not want anybody in prominent positions in those countries, because they may somewhat put obstacles in the way of attacking and invading other petrol areas in the region, such as Iran and Syria. While doing this, the big boss couldn't care less which party is in power -even if it is an Islamic Shariah based one- as long as they back the boss up. Don't you find it a bit odd that America is fighting against radical Islam all over the world, but when it comes to Turkey, almost all the western countries ignore what AKP is doing. No matter how flagrant for law they are and ignorant of democratic values; unfortunately, the western world are supporting AKP and this makes its zealot men more eager and rude to achieve their goals: to overthrow the secular system.

  7. What is stupid about the Ergenekon investigation? Surely these supposed plots need to be looked into and the truth established. Weapons caches, murders, and the use of "agents provocateur" cannot just be ignored.

  8. Do you really believe all that? Turkey is better with APK.

  9. I thought Turkey was a democracy???

  10. See here for the *real* footsteps of fascism:

  11. Some so-called muslims tend to wash brains of people with Quran's pages and they actually use religion for political purposes, very bad and dark purposes.

In History we saw that ultra-nationalism and communism lead to fascism...And now we realize that religion is an evil tool as well.

I hope Turkey will keep standing strong as a leader of secularism for all the muslim countries

  12. 'stupid ergenekon investigation' ??? I dont find it stupid at all

27 hand grenades, said to be of the same make that the military uses, were seized from an Istanbul shanty house. Turkey is a country with a wonderful history military coups and assassination of political representatives, the government is responsible of protecting democracy by preventing such events. Since in order to actually perform a coup you have to set the stage just right, by providing the proper propaganda (through media) to show that a coup would be in the best interest [otherwise the public would just rebel and lose further trust in the military], it isnt only the military that is involved.

  13. all Europeans are thought Turks are blinds? in this way protect your democracy and your chance to come in EU.!!!!!!!!!!!!! all these are created from your army which want to go you back. look us in Greece look Italy,France.Spain and others big Europeans countries why don't have those problems?? Europe want turkey and this is the reason that EU support akp. it is the time to become one really DEMOCRATIC COUNTRY........
